Welcome to the first week of our Women in the Word online Bible study. If you are visiting the T2 women for the first time, welcome and please consider joining us as we seek to grow in our walk with the Lord through studying the lives of the Women in the Word. You can find out everything you need to know by clicking here! We’ve been anxiously waiting for today for some time now! Let’s begin!
Heavenly Father, We praise Your Holy Name! You are our Creator and Redeemer and for that we are most grateful. We thank You for the opportunity to study Your Word and we marvel at how You have brought us all together. We ask that You would open our eyes and show us marvelous things in Your Word. Help us to be not just hearers of Your Word but doers. Guide us, transform us, bring us together in unity and to You we will give all the glory. In the precious name of Jesus we pray!
“Then the Lord God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.” (Genesis 2:18) And so the Lord created Eve – from the rib of Adam, the Lord made a woman. She was the first woman to hear her husband’s exclamation and see his reaction as the Lord brought her to him and presented her as his wife. Eve experienced a perfect union with Adam. She walked with God in the Garden of Eden and looked upon a perfect world. Then one day, the serpent approached Eve and sin entered the world. She would be the first mother to hear the sounds of her newborn child and to experience the joys of motherhood but she would also see the consequences of her sin as she experienced separation from God, imperfect relationships, pain, sorrow, tears and death. Yet to Eve was given the promise of salvation from a loving Creator. There is no other place to begin in our study of the Women in the Word than with Eve -the mother of all living.
→ We will be reading about Eve in these Scriptures: Genesis 1:26-28; Genesis 2:18-25; Genesis 3; Genesis 4:1,2,25; 1 Corinthians 11:3; 1 Timothy 2:13-15
→ This week’s memory verse is James 1:14-15
“But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire. Then desire when it has conceived gives birth to sin, and sin when it is fully grown brings forth death.” James 1:14-15
→ Print out these resources ( if you wish) to guide you in your study of the Women in the Word and to create your own Women in the Word binder or folder: Remember you can do as much or as little as is feasible for your life. We encourage you to spend time daily and discover what the Lord will reveal to you through His Word.
→ Join us at ScriptureTyper – for those who would like to memorize Scripture!
We’re looking forward to sharing with you on Wednesday and Friday and we can’t wait to hear from you at our group page.
