The Priority of Relationships

Thanks for joining us in our study of the Women in the Word.  Are you a first time visitor to the T2 Women?  We’d love for you to join us this week as we look into the life of Rebekah.  You can find out everything you need to know about the Women in the Word Bible study by clicking here!

Our journey through the Women in the Word brings us to the story of Rebekah. Upon Sarah’s death, Abraham turns to seeking a wife for his son from amongst his kin. Beautiful Rebekah is eager to follow Abraham’s servant and become the wife of Isaac.  Their relationship blossoms but this intimate relationship falters and their family life is a shambles as their years together come to a close. What went wrong?  What can we learn from Rebekah’s life both positive and negative that can help us be the wisest of women?  Join us this week and find out these things plus many more.

→ We will be reading about Rebekah in these Scriptures: Genesis 24; Genesis 25:19-28; Genesis 26:1-11, 34-35; Genesis 27 and Genesis 28:1-5

→ This week’s memory verse is Proverbs 14:1:

The wisest of women builds her house, but folly with her own hands tears it down.

  1. You are EITHER building up OR tearing down, that is what stood out to me in a talk I heard from Carolyn Mahaney (http://www.girltalkhome.com/about) a few years ago. There is no neutral ground, we have to be about the business of building up or we will slip too easily into tearing down. SUCH an important thing for us women to remember. Thank you!

    • So very true! Thanks for sharing and reminding us all that we’re either doing one or the other. We truly must be intentional in building up!
