Praying Through Ephesians ~ Giving Thanks!!

As we come to the end of the book of Ephesians, I’d like to take a moment to thank you for taking this journey with us!! We’ve never done a study like this over the Internet before- one where we are studying together each day and sharing our insights as well as our concerns and heart-felt prayers. Through this method of study I’ve not only grown more intimate with this book, with Paul and the Lord, but also with all of you!

I believe we’ve been given a small glimpse of what heaven will be like, in that women can come together from all corners of the country and world, and share the same bonds in Christ Jesus! What God has done on Women in the Word is nothing short of amazing! With a grateful heart that’s overflowing this morning, I feel compelled to close out our study by giving back to Him some of what we’ve been given!! Let’s pray:

O Father, I wish to thank You with all my heart! And tell of all the marvelous things You have done, only they are far too many to mention here! My heart is filled with joy because of You and all You have done on our behalf!

Lord, You have been so gracious and so compassionate, so faithful in all Your words to us, and kind in all Your works towards us! You have upheld all who have struggled and raised up all who were bowed down. Our eyes have looked to you, and you have blessed us abundantly!

Father, You are so good and so faithful, and Your compassion rests on all who call upon Your name. Father, fill us with Your Spirit and cause us to walk worthy of the call to which You have called us, with all humility and gentleness, with patience. Help us to bear with one another in love, and be eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

May we be imitators of You, as beloved children. And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us. May we look carefully to how we walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because we know the days are evil. And finally, Father, help us to be strong in the strength of Your might- putting on the armor You have supplied, that we may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. Cause us to take up the shield of faith, with which we can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; and take a firm hold of the sword of the Spirit, which is Your word, in order to pray at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication for everyone. Father, we long to see Your will be done here on earth as it is in heaven.

Thank You once more for all Your word has taught us, changed us and molded us into being more like our Savior over these last few weeks!  I close by echoing the words of Your apostle Paul; may peace be to my sisters here, and love joined with faith, from You, our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ. May grace- Your undeserved favor be with all of us who love You with an undying and incorruptible love. Thank You once more for all You have done and may we all continue to grow in and through Your word until You call us home. Amen

To my sisters who journeyed through Ephesians with us:

May the Lord bless you and keep you wrapped in His loving care;
May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious to you;
May the Lord lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace

‘Til next time,
