Our Hope!

The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it. Psalm 24:1

I must admit there are times when the future looks very much like this photograph: cloudy, full of peaks and valleys with plenty of twists and turns! Sometimes I wonder if I’ll make it to the right destination or if I’ll get side-tracked along the way and miss out on all that awaits me somewhere out there.

Have you ever wondered if you’ll reach the goal intended or if you’ll choose something less than the best for your life? And just how can we be sure? If so, read this:

For this is what the high and exalted One says– he who lives forever, whose name is holy: “I live in a high and holy place, but also with the one who is contrite and lowly in spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart of the contrite. Isaiah 57:15

Did you notice that the Lord has two places of residence? He not only dwells in a high and holy place, but also with those who have a humble and contrite spirit. Just knowing that the One who is high and exalted and the Creator and Master of all things and loves us beyond our own comprehension is also here with those who seek Him to direct each step gives me great hope that I’ll not only reach the destination He intends, but that I also won’t miss any of the treasures He has in store along the way.

Psalm 25:4-5
