Here is a recipe for yeast dinner rolls. These are very inexpensive and you almost always have the ingredients on hand. I keep a little jar of yeast in my fridge at all times because I usually make these once or twice a week. Enjoy!!
1 cup very warm water (I use hot water out of the tap)
1 tablespoon fast rising yeast
1/8 cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup oil
2 1/2 cup all purpose flour
Add first three ingredients in glass bowl. (Works best if you warm the bowl with hot tap water first.) Let sit about 5 minutes. Add remaining ingredients and stir.
Knead until elastic, adding a little more flour as needed to keep dough from sticking to hands, but not so much the dough gets dry. (I usually do this in the same bowl and knead about 2-3 minutes.)
Cover with a towel and let sit approx 45 min or until doubled in size. Punch down but don’t knead again.
Pinch off dough balls (a little bigger than golf ball size), and put in 2 greased 8 inch round pans to rise another 20 min.
Place in 350 degree oven about 20 minutes (cook time may vary based on oven. Mine cooks hot, and I usually cook less than this.) Makes 18-20 rolls
