Did you ever take an art class where the professor held up a painting and asked you to describe what you saw? This painting by Wencelas de Broczic called Peasant Women Chatting seems to sum up our goal for this blog! You may find other things about this painting that we haven’t noticed, but there are three things that jumped out to us right away. Notice:

  • the ages of the women. You have all ages; the very old to the very young all contributing to the conversation.
  • their location. These women have pulled their kitchen chairs outside and set them along the side of the road to welcome every passer-by to join them.
  • the time period. These definitely are not modern day women, but women from another era.

Now, we don’t relish the idea of going back to that time, for we do enjoy all our modern day conveniences, but these women seem to be enjoying one thing that we are lacking these days. Our contemporary lifestyles make it difficult to be able to spend time and glean wisdom from an eclectic group of women, and that is exactly what we are hoping to achieve through this blog.

Our name comes from Titus 2:3-5, “… teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live,… urge the younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home and kind…” The Lord knew we would need one another, but our contemporary lifestyles don’t always make it easy for us to be a part of a group of women who will help, encourage and support us. It is our goal to meet all those needs right here! We hope you will find everything that is important to you as a woman, whether you are single, married, or married with children! So pull up your chair and join us and hopefully we will all become great friends!!

Hello!  My name is Melissa and I am pleased to have the opportunity to contribute to this website.

I have been married to my husband, Nathan, for over 13 years, and we have five wonderful children.  I have a heart for single women and mothers of multiple children.  (Our children are 11, 9, 7, 6, and 6.)  Nathan and I experienced almost five years of infertility, and I have miscarried 3 babies, so I have a particular interest in encouraging women dealing  with infertility and pregnancy loss.  We adopted our two boys from Russia, and I enjoy talking to anyone interested in adopting.  I love to counsel women and point them to God’s Word.  It really does hold the answers to all of life’s questions! I look forward to sharing and encouraging through T2 Women!

Hi! My name is Kristen! I  married my best friend 11 years ago right out of college. We are both high school English teachers today, who also share a love for writing. Together we have been blessed with three beautiful little girls (10, 7, and 2). When I’m not busy trying to juggle both work and family needs, I love finding great deals on things for my family and home as well as creating some of my own.

Greetings!  I’m Pam! I became a follower of Jesus over 20 years ago. I am so grateful that He who began a good work in me will be faithful to complete it.  Thirty-one years ago, I married God’s ‘perfect’ man for me.  Today, after experiencing separation and God’s restoration of our marriage, we have a ministry to married couples. We have two grown children. I work outside the home, love to study God’s Word, to travel with my husband, and to spend time at the beach when time allows which isn’t very often lately!  Life is busy!!!!  My prayer is that the Lord will bless you through T2 Women.

Pic of sueHey Everyone! I’m Sue! I married my high school sweetheart and best friend 35 years ago and have loved traveling through this life with him!! Together we’ve been given 2 amazing children by birth and another two by marriage and so far they have blessed us with 5 incredible grandchildren which we absolutely treasure!

I’m also a quilter, history buff and former teacher, who met my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ when I was 24 and have been following Him ever since. I truly believe He has made all the difference in my life and I pray you’ll be able to find Him through all the pages of this site!  Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope we will become great friends!!

Hi, My name is Waverly. I have been blessed by the Lord with a wonderful husband whom I met in college. My husband and I have been blessed with six precious children ages 2 to 10 and are striving to raise them to be wholeheartedly devoted to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I am a stay at home mom and am homeschooling our children. We live in the country and have a few animals- goats, chickens, dogs, cats and a duck. Though I often fail, my desire is to be a wife, mom, and friend that brings glory to the Lord. I hope something I am able to share on this journey of life will lead you closer to the Lord and your family. May God richly bless you as you strive to know and follow Him more faithfully.

Hello! I’m Amanda. I am married to my amazing husband JD and we have two sweet kids. I work part-time as a nurse at a children’s oncology hospital, but when I’m not working, I homeschool my oldest child. I love the Lord and I have been seeking His will in my life since I came to know Him as my Lord and Savior at 18 years old. I’m always looking for a good deal and try to use what I have in the best way possible. Sometimes my ideas work and sometimes they’re just another step in the process! Come check out my posts for ideas on how you can diy too!
