It was a great first week of study over at Women in the Word. We’d love for you to join us there as we dig into the Word. We’re continuing our study this week with verses 11 through 16 in Ephesians 4. Last week, Paul exhorted us to be eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit by walking in a manner worthy of our call. Without humility and submission to God who fills us with His Spirit, unity is impossible. He truly provides all we need to walk in the manner He wishes us to walk in. He does it through us as we humble ourselves in submission to His will. We ended with Christ having given gifts to men. This week, we focus on the gifts given for the building up of the body. (We have printouts available for your study at the end of this post.) Come on over to Women in the Word and be a blessing to others and be blessed as we seek Him this week!
And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes. Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.
