A Note to our Single Friends

We’re so glad you’re here!

Whether you are a younger single woman, soon to be wed woman or a woman who has been called to singleness for a few seasons or more, we welcome you to our community. You may feel that since the older women are to teach the younger women to love their husbands and to love their children that this T2 community doesn’t include you.   Nothing is further from the truth!  Titus 2 doesn’t only apply to married woman.  Carolyn McCulley, in her article “Single & Fully Feminine“, states “of the seven qualities Paul urges Titus to have older women teach to younger women, only two are explicitly directed at married women and one to mothers. That leaves at least four for all women, married or single. Despite my marital status, I was to be self-controlled, pure, busy at home, and kind. That is a tall order no matter how you look at it, but it doesn’t mean I can ignore the other three qualities. There are implications for the single  women in the commands to love husbands and children as well as for wives to be subject to their husbands”  We hope you’ll read her insightful article. It’s a great read for single women as well as their married counterparts.

Single women, pull up a chair and join with your married sisters as together we become the women God called us to be!
